WORLDLIFE RECEIVED LETTER FROM THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION IN KENYA

In November 2012 WorldLife received an approval from the Ministry of Education in Kenya to develop nature related education in Naivasha and Mount Elgon, Kenya. With this approval WorldLife will be able to create and implement teaching materials of a much higher grade.

This approval from the Ministry of Education is very unique. The Kenyan government is usually very reluctant in giving approvals to improve the quality of the Kenyan Curriculum.

WorldLife is very pleased and proud with this agreement.

FIRST RESULTS OF INDIGENOUS TREE PLANTING IN NOVEMBER 2011

These are the first results of the indigenous tree planting that took place in Naivasha Kenya, in November 2011.

We checked the development of roots. The waterboxx stimulates vertical growth of the roots so that they are better able to search for ground water. See photo 3..

The seedlings we planted in November are in very good condition.

We are very pleased with this result.

WorldLife wants to start reforestation projects in 4 regions in Kenya

WorldLife is planning to start reforestation projects in 4 regions in Kenya in October. We selected them carefully and discussed this with several organizations and the Government of Kenya.
The regions:
1. Kitale
2. Marakwet East District
3. Laikipia
4. Naivasha

The regions we selected are seriously affected by the dramatic effects of Climate Change.
Nowadays we watch and hear the news about the extreme drought in Kenya. 3.5 million people are facing starvation. Children are severely malnourished, wildlife, animals & cattle are dying because of hunger. Nature is lost..

WorldLife wants to start with reforestation in those 4 regions. Education programs combinend with planting trees. Between the trees we’ll plant fruits, vegetables and herbs. We’ll involve local communities, primary and secondary schools. Together with local organizations and the Kenyan Government we’ll restore nature and achieve better life circumstances for people, wildlife and animals.
